Born in 1986, Amy’s background was pretty similar to that of Alex Dempsey’s; brought up as an only child and living with just her dad after her mother died. After completing her A-Levels, Amy planned to enter the performance world, and signed with a local talent agency. It was from here in the summer of 2005 that an unexpected role came her way. The new Harchester United owners, under the guise of DragonsCorp, hired Amy to be their eyes and ears inside the club while they remained mysteriously silent from above.

Amy’s position at the club (at least to everyone around her) was as personal assistant to Chief Exec Lynda Block, who Amy saw as someone to aspire to be. Things become complicated along the way, as Lynda quickly notices how Amy is in more contact with the owner than she herself is. And an awkward predicament reveals how married manager Felix Hahn has had his way with Amy twice, while also sniffing around Lynda!

Amy’s problems with Felix don’t end there, for when the owners instruct her to see that Felix is sent on his way, she resorts to pretending Felix has sexually assaulted her. These allegations destroy Felix’s reputation, and Amy decides to admit she lied, only Paul Hankin uses the revelation that Amy is involved in another affair – with the married Danny Sullivan. It is only when another disaster is caused by the owner that Lynda takes Amy back, and the two begin working side by side to discover just who the owner is. After getting past the fact Lenny the postroom man is not the owner(!) Amy learns it was in fact Casper Rose who brought her to the club.

At the beginning of her second season with HUFC, Lynda promotes Amy to Assistant Press Officer, but when she leaves abruptly, Amy basically takes over the CEO role unofficially. When Danny feels less appreciated by Amy due to her new position, he sleeps with Kim, which he confesses leaving Amy heartbroken. Danny goes to Southend alone, as Amy doesn’t want to give up her job, but while he is there he suffers a career ending injury, and upon returning feels even more isolated by those around him.

When a new threat comes in the form of Dragonslayer, Amy is determined to protect the club from this unknown menace. But she herself falls victim when Dragonslayer manages to convince her Danny would have an affair with Cindi – something Danny has orchestrated to cover the fact he himself is Dragonslayer. Amy puts her concerns about Danny behind her, until the last day of the season where Harchester are on the verge of winning the title.

Amy discovers Danny plans to kill Jimmy and himself in a huge fire he is about to start at the Lair, and has already violently attacked Jimmy. She manages to talk him out of it, reminding him he is not a killer, and gets Jimmy to the ambulance bay. But with a huge inferno raging as a result of Danny’s petrol-pouring actions, plus Gemma and the police waiting for answers about Jimmy’s injuries, how far will Amy go to protect the man she loves?
