Middle-aged ball-breaker who would seem more accustomed to being a headmistress than representing World Cup winning superstar footballers. Barbara gets involved with Harchester United when her client Didier Baptiste is looking to play under his former Monaco team mate Luis Amor Rodriguez. Barbara is unimpressed with the club's initial wage offer of ten thousand pounds a week when Didier's terms would start at twenty-five, though she grudgingly agrees to the basic pay of £20K. She also has little time for Ann Patterson, who hasn't any big name clients to her PR portfolio, though thaws when Didier speaks up for her potential. After Didier has left the club, Barbara hangs on to money meant to be paid to Harchester by his new club Marseille, as she acted as an intermediary. When she stalls transferring the funds, Harchester's players cannot be paid leading to a revolt against Lynda, and Roger Frost says he will lodge a complaint about Barbara.

Gets a surprise when the famous Scott Lucas turns up at the family home, and an even bigger one when Scott reveals they don't just share a last name, but the same dad. Scott buys Ben and Chris presents, and invites them to watch him play from the executive box, but parents Alex and Marion don't want Scott upsetting their family life and put a stop to the contact.

Bill is eager to give Sam a piece of his mind over his running of the club, and Claudia encourages him to vent his frustrations as her father is "very approachable"!

Conor McCarthy's father, living in Newry, Co. Down, Northern Ireland. Drives his son to the airport as he leaves to fly to England and join the Harchester United youth team. He visits Conor later in the season, where he puts pressure on his "next Georgie Best" son over his lack of promised contract with the first team. Not to mention how he and Conor's uncle have bought a pub in London, borrowing £25K which they plan on paying back with Conor's signing on fee! So of course Mr McCarthy receives a royal shock when Frank makes it clear Conor will be judged with the rest of his team mates on receiving a pro contract... or not!

Bully/Braveheart (Alan Pritchard)

Scotsman on the Harchester Reserve team nicknamed "Braveheart" even by the coaching staff. Winds Warren Masters up over his recent legal troubles during the practice match against the youth team, but Warren holds his nerve, at least in front of Frank and his team mates. However, after the match Warren follows him to the urinals and soon Braveheart is on the floor clutching his crown jewels.
