Croxteth charmer who begins getting call-ups to the first team during the 2001-02 season, before receiving permanent promotion for the 2002-03 season. By the January transfer window, Tommo has been joined by his youth team mate Clyde Connelly. Struggling agent Jeff Stein goes all out to sign Tommo and Clyde being the hot new things in the first team, and even pays to bring the boys' parents from Liverpool and Nottingham respectively to see the team play Birmingham City at St. Andrews. When Jeff confronts PFA Rep Bobby Bell about sniffing around Tommo and Clyde, Bobby reveals they are in fact his players, having signed with him a fortnight ago.

Tommo and Clyde have fun together, but Clyde is soon a double-act with Ryan Naysmith, and Tommo is eclipsed further as the Scouse voice in the squad with the arrival of fellow Liverpudlian Lee Presley. But he still gets his cheeky one-liners, christening Grace Ikema when she is announced as the new team co-ordinator as "Curtis co-ordinator more like!". When Harchester are liquidated, Tommo joins his team mates in continuing the season unpaid in order to qualify for the Champions League. They secure this, only to be relegated by UEFA, and Tommo leaves for Bolton Wanderers in a summer transfer.
