Team Players>> Danny "Millsey" Mills

Midfielder (#20) (2002-05)

One of the new faces to the Dragon's Lair following the coach crash on route to the previous season's UEFA Cup final, Danny Mills came from Reading F.C. with a reputation as an experienced tough-tackler. Known as Millsey to his team, he shows he is a reliable substitute, coming on for the yellow-carded Ryan at half-time against Bolton Wanderers. And following a disastrous team-building exercise on a paintballing course which left several squad members out injured, Millsey comes on for Robbie Walsh against Southampton. His first season ends with the team forfeiting their place in the FA Cup final due to former manager Patrick Doyle's match fixing, in order to play the Everton replay and ensure their Premier League survival.

The club's liquidation sees Millsey achieve his legendary status in the team as one of the 11 Angry Men, the first team squad who continue to play their fixtures until the bank reopens the club, and play unpaid until the end of the season. Millsey contributes to Harchester's winning tally in the season's final game, a goal in a 3-2 win over Manchester United. Following the match, whilst celebrating Champions League qualification, the team learns UEFA have relegated the club for the earlier match fixing that saw Harchester liquidated.

Millsey is one of the players who receives interest in transferring back to the Premier League, from Crystal Palace. However his (and several of his fellow players') moves are scuppered by Eli Knox honouring their contracts following the completion of the CL Group Stage Qualifier against Sporting Lisbon. Later in the season, Millsey contributes to a Dragons' 3-2 win with a goal against Plymouth Argyle. Sometime around Carl Caskey's arrival, Millsey suffers a career-ending injury and quietly retires. This ultimately ensures he is not at the Millennium Stadium for Harchester's promotion back to the Premiership, following which his team mates perish in a coach explosion.
