Gemma works in a hairdressers, where Zoe also later joins her, and is more laid back and fun-loving than the often up-tight Zoe. There is drama when "rich bitch" Georgina Jacobs crosses the two, and Gemma and Zoe dye her hair orange! Gemma and Zoe have future plans to go globetrotting, and when Zoe sets off on her gap-year to India in the summer of 1998, it is not clear whether Gemma also joins her.
