For the 00's players of Harchester United, their partying motto of the three B's - birds, betting and booze - often led to downfall. For one Jonathan "J.F" Freddericks, he managed to navigate all three within his casino empire, and quit the cigarettes, but couldn't avoid his own downfall in, yes, chewing gum.

Striker Miguel Lopez became a member of his club upon signing for the Dragon's, and it wasn't long before he was introducing team mates Gavin Moody and Sean Campbell to this new, hardcore world of gambling. After an initial good streak luck begins to run out for the boys, and they end up owing half a million each. J.F bans the trio from winning it back at his club, adding that he's giving them three days to pay it all back. Unable to pay his money in time, Gavin is offered a lifeline by J.F, that if he gets him a comprehensive report on Harchester's preparation for their game against Wigan, he'll forget he ever had a marker with the club, planning to use the information on his spread-betting site, where he'll be able to control the odds. When Gavin fails, J.F arranges for his heavies to trash Miguel, Sean and Gavin's houses.

After giving them more time to come up with his money, J.F adds on a further £500K, which they get by approaching their rich team mates and betting through the IndyCar season in Florida. When Gavin and Sean make Miguel do the drop-off to J.F's club, Miguel's greedy nature gets the better of him and he holds on to the money, deceiving the others that the payment went without a hitch. When they learn what Miguel did he claims J.F must be out for more. Not trusting Miguel to go alone again, Gavin and Sean accompany him, having to take Jason along as they leave for his birthday. At a deserted car park J.F informs Gavin and Sean that Miguel was a no show last night. As Miguel insists J.F is lying, J.F suddenly begins choking on his chewing gum, and Jason tries to perform the Heimlich Maneuver to save his life, but J.F lies dead on the car park ground. Miguel coldly announces that their debt has been paid, and encourages the others to flee from the scene, before swiping J.F's black book from his dead body, disposing of all proof that they owed him money.
