Kenny Masters (Paul McNeilly) 1997-1998 Duration: EP: 21 - 22, 40  |  SE: 1.21 - 1.22, 1.40 A thuggish criminal, Kenny Masters was father to Mica and Warren, and he had a volatile relationship with their mother. Mixing with a number of dodgy associates, Kenny was hardly good father material, with the Masters children unsurprisingly drifting into their parents’ criminal activities. In 1996 when Warren was released from a youth detention centre and signed to Harchester United's youth team, Kenny came back into his life and began a relationship with Mandy Burley, who gave birth to his third child, Kayleigh. But even a new girlfriend and baby didn't keep Kenny out of trouble, and he ended up inside for attempted murder. As his dad served his sentence, Warren was especially supportive to Mandy by moving out of the Baker family digs and into a flat with she and Kayleigh. Feelings developed between the two and an affair began, which came to a head when Kenny was released from prison. It wasn't long before Kenny caught on, originally suspecting it was Warren’s manager and mentor Frank Patcham having the affair with Mandy, and was out to kill him. After taking Frank hostage, it took Ian Coates, disguised inside Harchester's Dragon mascot costume to take Kenny out, and he was sent back to prison, vowing to get revenge on Warren if they ever came face to face again.
