Team Players>> Peter Smith

Defender (#25) (2000-2001) (#3) (2001-2003)

A defender signed from Gillingham in the 2000-01 season, as Harchester push for the Champions League and UEFA Cup. They qualify for both in 01-02, but crash out of the Champions League early, make it to the FA Cup quarter final, and to the UEFA Cup final, before the coach crash curtails their chances. Smith's third season is a fight against relegation, and notably, after a team building exercise in paintballing leaves several of the squad injured, Peter and Marvin Walker replace the out Andy Grant and Danny Sullivan. The club makes it to the FA Cup final but forfeits the game due to the bet by Doyle involving Jamie. Harchester survives relegation and Peter transfers to Southampton.

The following season after his departure, Harchester are liquidated, and Peter pays a visit to offer his support to his old team mates, greeting Curtis as they gather in Studs for a talk with PFA chief executive, Gordon Taylor.
