Steve Johnson (Daniel Greene) 2003 Duration: 291 (6.31) - 293 (7.1), 297 (7.5) - 298 (7.6) When an out-injured Ryan Naysmith feels out of the loop with the team preparing for the FA Cup final, he meets Steve who persuades him of the amount of money he could make them from selling his and any complimentary tickets he can get for the game. When the FA Cup is forfeited, Steve tells Ryan he has to get him comps for the last game of the season, or he will tell the club (and notably Stuart) that Ryan is selling comps that aren't his. Under pressure, Ryan steals Clyde's comps, a set of four which Steve sells to the Evertonian Boyle family, seating them in Harchester's home end. The Boyles are ultimately the winners of Phil Wallis's club raffle giveaway, and Clyde gets involved when he discovers they were using his tickets. Ryan initially offers Steve £25K to keep quiet, but when Clyde publicly offers the same for the tout to meet him and reveal how he got his tickets, Steve returns and tells Ryan unless he pays him what Clyde is offering he will own up. Steve hangs around Clyde at he and Ryan's flat, and when Tony and Dean pay a visit, Dean recognises Steve as the tout. Tony bluffs that they will get Steve £50K for his silence, when really he plans to send Steve on his way with a beating, but after learning how Sven is considering Ryan for the England squad, Steve now demands Ryan pay him what the Boyles are offering. An on-edge Ryan goes to the canal to give Steve his last payment, whilst Tony and Dean watch from a distance. When Steve goads that he will be back the next time for more money, Ryan launches at Steve in a desperate rage, during which Steve hits his head on the railing. Ryan runs away, not realising the extent of Steve's injuries, and leaving the money. Tony picks up the package of cash and drags Dean away as he wants to call an ambulance. Though Ryan is forced to back up the Boyles to the police in order to save himself, he is haunted by Steve's death leading to a breakdown and a spell hospitalised.
