She cared about Tommy but he was more concerned about the affair coming out and the effect it would have on his career. When it did, Tommy cut off all contact with Kristine and went on loan to Harchester. She tracked him down to the first game of the season at Brighton & Hove Albion, where Tommy’s agent Sofia Moxham accused her of leaking the affair story to the press herself. It was through Kristine that Sofia learned it was Jodie (whom Kristine had told) who passed the information onto her father which he used in order to pay Chelsea a low price when no other club would want Tommy.
