Harchester ReUnited Cast Reunion YouTube Live May 2020

 

 

On Friday 29th May 2020 at 7:00PM, with the mission of raising money for NHS charities, a variety of Dream Team’s former actors will be taking part in a YouTube Live reunion under the title Harchester ReUnited. The link where the show will take place is here and below scheduled to take part, are short profiles of the characters highlights plus their actors’ other works, though this remains preliminary and names may drop out owing to other commitments.

 

 

JAMIE LOMAS (Alex Dempsey/Rose)

 

 

Jamie played Alex in Seasons 9-10. A coach who came to the club after being guided by a mysterious force who had the power to control his path in the game, and whose identity Alex remained unaware of. Alex and Lynda reach a further bond when they discover each is being controlled by the same faceless-being - HUFC’s new owner. Alex gets his dream role and becomes the club's manager. He gets a shock when Casper admits all, that he is the owner and has been controlling Alex’s life, causing Alex to lose control and hit Cass in the head with a jar of ink, killing him. At the reading of Casper’s will, Alex gets the first of two bombshells when it is revealed Terry Rose is his real father, and was the one originally writing to Alex with Casper continuing following his death. And Lynda is pregnant with his child. The truth about Alex's affair with Liam MacKay's wife Chloe becomes public knowledge, the team refuse to play for him, Alex turns himself in for Casper’s death.

ALEX LAWLER (Sexy/Lawler)

 

 

Alex played Lawler/Sexy in Seasons 5-8. A product of the Harchester youth team (after the series focus had shifted to solely the first), goalkeeper Alex was the longest running second-choice keeper, staying for a total of four years. Another background player, he was present for the club's biggest events in the early-mid 00's. Sadly, one of these was the Millennium Stadium coach explosion after the team had just won promotion back to the Premier League. He didn't survive that, but previously had a memorable moment when Viv Wright stamped on his hand, breaking it in order to win back his place in goal

TERENCE MAYNARD (Stuart Naysmith)

 

 

 

Terence played Stuart in Seasons 6-7. An experienced Centre Half signed to bolster the team following the coach crash, Stuart was joined shortly afterwards by his troubled teenage son Ryan. When Phil Wallis sacks Patrick Doyle, Stuart is made caretaker manager and steers the lads from relegation for the final game of the season. Offered the job on a permanent position, in a season with the threat of bankruptcy hanging over the club, Stuart puts his career on the line and plays on top of an already injured knee, causing irreparable damage. Desperate to keep his manager's job he agrees to help Pilar plot to see Harchester liquidated in order for the Sheik to bring much needed investment. Stuart is the fall-guy for the match fixing, and seen as a threat to spill all on the deception, Marcel is mistakenly killed in place of Stuart! With his life in danger, Stuart is put into witness protection, and says goodbye to Ryan, unsure whether they will ever see each other again.

NEIL JACKSON (Phil Wallis)

 

 

 

Neil played Phil Wallis in Season 6. The plumber turned Harchester United chairman with a £21M lottery win. Phil wanted the best for the club he loved, but had to contend with a manager in Patrick Doyle working against him for a bet he'd placed to get the club relegated. Doyle thwarts Phil's attempts to bring back club hero Scott Lucas and sign European legend Roberto Mendoza. On top of sleeping with Phil's wife Jacqui! Phil beats up Patrick and fires him, going on a downward spiral which culminates in him taking an overdose. Phil is rescued and knows he has to sort out the mess his club is in. He is further hit by a points deduction for transfer bungs, and the revelation of match fixing from inside the club, though Harchester are saved from relegation by beating Everton. Phil walks away a fan once more, having announced to the crowd that whoever’s seat number is pulled out of a raffle will be the new owner of the club!

GEORGIA ZARIS (Claudia Irving)

 

 

 

Georgia played Claudia in Season 5. With her businessman father buying the club, Claudia thought her chances of becoming a Premier League Chief Executive were in the bag. Instead she gets the role of PA to her father’s new love, United queen Lynda Block. More good hearted, but disastrous PR just put her in her dad's bad books, and she turns to the married manager David Spears for attention. The fall out of this sees David sacked and Claudia becoming the unhealthy obsession of his embittered wife Dawn. Claudia is stalked, assaulted, and nearly gassed to death by the deranged Mrs Spears. Claudia sets about ensuring her father doesn't take Lynda for his wife, and when he dumps her at the alter for her affair with Fletch, Claudia gets what she wanted all along - the club. Because of this, Claudia takes her seat on the team coach destined for the UEFA Cup Final in Amsterdam, which crashes and Claudia loses her life.

DAVID AJALA (Sean Campbell)

 

 

 

David played Midfielder Sean in Season 10. The last club signing before the series' end, Sean arrived from his whole-time club Southend in a loan swap deal with Danny Sullivan. Sean was seen by manager Jimmy Craig as a vital addition to the club's final push for its first Title win in 21 years. A laid back character with a sense of humour that wound the lads up the wrong way, Sean became one third of the Invincible trio with Gavin Moody and Miguel Lopez, but the world of spread betting, which they become addicted to following a run of good luck proves to take them down some dark avenues.

DHAFFER L’ABIDINE (Marcel Sabatier)

 

 

 

Dhaffer played Marcel in Seasons 6-7. A European class footballer and the player any manager would want in his team, Marcel was brought to Harchester by his former PSG boss Patrick Doyle. Appointed the new captain having always shared a solid relationship with Patrick, Marcel comes round to Fletch's way of thinking that Doyle is out to destroy the club. Marcel moves in with Abi when Fletch is in Saudi Arabia, and falls in love with her. He tries to stop the management bankrupting the club so a Sheik can bring investment and fights to win the game. When the Sheik's team are out to silence Stuart who is staying at Abi's house, the assassin finds Marcel by mistake and kills him with a lethal injection.

DANNY HUSBANDS (Danny “Sully” Sullivan)

 

 

 

Danny played Midfielder Sully in Seasons 5-10. Although a regular in the first team, Sully's first couple of seasons saw him overshadowed by bigger characters in the dressing room, but he witnessed the club’s key events from the sidelines, including surviving the coach crash, getting caught up in Jamie Parker’s siege and involved in the fight to get the club reopened following Harchester's liquidation. The birth of his twins saw Danny feature more prominently, and winning promotion back to the Premier League brought a defining moment in his life, when all but three of the squad are wiped out in the team bus explosion. Now the club’s longest serving player, Danny gets the captain’s armband, and the Dragons have their first FA Cup win in seven years. A loan move to Southend sets Sully on a downward spiral for he picks up a knee injury which brings about the end of his career. Sully sets about destroying the clubs chances of winning the title and thus, Dragonslayer is born! On the day of the final, Sully comes close to killing manager Jimmy Craig, but is talked down at the last minute.

DARREN WHITE (Darren Tyson)

 

 

 

Darren played Defender Tyson in Seasons 6-10. Like his team mates Danny Sullivan and Pete Mack, Tyson was an important, yet overshadowed member of the squad during his first few seasons. Present for the Dragons reaching the FA Cup Final, Champions League qualification and promotion back to the Premier League following their relegation. It was following the 2005 Play Off Final in Cardiff that Tyson, along with Danny and Ryan Naysmith, were the only team survivors of the coach explosion. and form a personal bond to play on for the club through respect of their team mates. At the team's return to Cardiff for the FA Cup Final, he remarkably scores two of the winning goals against Arsenal which see the Dragons lift the Cup for only the second time. Yet he never imagined innocently waking up next to the glamorous Mrs Moody after a night out celebrating a League win. a tipsy Tys mistakenly picking up the wrong house keys. The actions of his oldest friend Danny, under the guise of Dragonslayer, cost Tyson his place in the all-important League Final, and he is forced to watch Harchester win the title for the first time in 21 years from the bench.

 

Darren played professionally with Millwall for several years, with stints at Brighton and the chance to play for England at school boy level. Behind the scenes on DT, he had the role of Football Consultant, and after the series, joined his long-time co-star Andy Ansah at Sports On Screen, along with their former DT co-star Ryan Lee. Both he and Ryan now work together for PLAYMAKER.

 

 

ANGELA HARRISON (Tash Parker)

 

 

 

Angela played Tash from Seasons 4-7. Originally a glamour model, and one half of Chelsea's #1 power couple, the club's very own Posh and Becks. Tash was forced to adjust when Jamie's transfer took them from the London social-scene to the quieter Midlands. As time goes on Tash mellows and takes control of her husband's affairs. including a gambling addiction, and believes she may be cut out for the world of agenting as her father Jeff Stein. After a romance with Monday, Tash is left raising she and Jamie's new daughter Hope alone after he is involved in the team's coach crash. Tash bonds with Robbie, but has to see off new love rival Shannon to keep Jamie. Tash discovers Jamie's secret of throwing games, and when he takes the team hostage talks Jamie into giving himself up, though he is shot dead, After taking up with a Texan oil millionaire. she returns to the horror of her father married to Nikki Peggs, but becomes a part of the new agenting business they've set up.

RAY MORGAN [MACALLAN] (Jeff Stein)

 

 

 

Ray played Jeff from Seasons 3-8. Jeff Stein was always willing to be a headache to any club on behalf of his clients. Fighting for the further benefits (and bigger pay-packets) they could be in for, while keeping a 'fatherly eye' on the up-and-coming players. He arrived as Scott Lucas's agent, joined by his family when overseeing son-in-law Jamie's transfer from Chelsea. Financial woes begin to plague him, when his most valuable client Danny Rawsthorne is killed in the coach crash, and holding back money from the botched Mendoza deal sees him banned as an agent. Some light comes his way with untapped talent Lee Presley, with Jeff becoming his legal guardian and seeing him signed to Harchester. Jeff moves on not knowing what he'd do next, but as long as there was unsigned talent out there looking for guidance, he'll be all right.

JIM ALEXANDER (Jamie Parker)

 

 

 

Jim played Jamie from Seasons 4-6. A party-loving goalkeeper from Chelsea with a glamour model wife, Jamie brought his celebrity lifestyle with him when he signed for Harchester ranging from being photographed drunk with a stripper, out-of-control gambling and a bribery scandal. He is left traumatised by the coach crash at the exact time he and Tash become parents to Hope. After a rehabilitation stint in L.A, Jamie falls under the control of rogue manager Patrick Doyle, forcing Jamie to throw games, and after he is dropped for the final, Jamie takes the whole team hostage at half time. Tash is put on the phone to Jamie, and he is persuaded to end the siege but a panic sees the officers fire to take him down and Jamie dies on the Lair tunnel floor.

TIM BRYN SMITH (Clyde Connelly)

 

 

 

Tim played Midfielder Clyde in Seasons 6-8, fresh from the youth team he was the joker eager to make his mark, scoring the goal which saved the club from relegation, then to learn he could be HUFC’s next chairman. He was the star of the specially written 300th episode. But by the start of his final season on the show, Clyde was on a downward spiral he wouldn’t emerge from, which resulted in his death from suicide, one of DT's hardest hitting plots.

CHRIS BRAZIER (Tommy Valentine)

 

 

 

Chris played Midfielder Tommy Valentine in Season 8. His stay was short, on loan for half a season with the Dragons, but no less dramatic! Valentine’s reputation “for banging his team mate’s wives” masked a good heart, especially when it came to loyalty to his friends. He stood by Clyde Connelly before he took his own life, and nearly lost his life himself when one affair too many led to a wronged husband stabbing him! He left for Spartak Moscow… after being lost in a card game.

PHILIP BRODIE (Vivian “Jaws” Wright)

 

 

 

Philip played Goalkeeper Vivian “Jaws” Wright in Seasons 7-8. Viv earned his legendary nickname after biting off the nose of a rival player. He brought his fearsome reputation to Harchester but soon settled to show all the good he could bring to a team, including briefly becoming manager. Alongside a battle with OCD more than once, and a volatile relationship with both his wife and football career!

FRANKIE FITZGERALD (Jason Porter)

 

 

 

Frankie played Jason Porter in Season 10. He was the fan whose dream came true when an outburst at the manager led to the opportunity to get on the pitch with his heroes, and score! Jason’s talent saw him leave behind the Tyre Bay and take up a professional contract with the club he loved. Though he had to fight throughout to be taken seriously. And put up one hell of a fight, with the ghostly help of club legend Fletch, when Dragonslayer threatened to wreck the team chances of winning the League.

[CHARLES] CHUCKY VENN (Curtis Alexander)

 

 

 

Chucky played Striker Curtis Alexander in Seasons 5-8. The nicer Alexander brother, Curtis came from a fantastic 23-goal-season with PSG, but found his form affected in Harchester which led to him finding reassurance and getting baptised. He is at the forefront to save the club when it is liquidated and Curtis’s passion in the campaign sees him retain the captaincy and spend a period in charge as caretaker manager. Always with a dreamed move to Charlton he doesn't achieve, Curtis captains the side to reach the Play Offs where Harchester win promotion back to the Premiership. Though he is one of the fatalities immediately afterwards in the coach explosion caused by ex-manager Don Barker.

PETER MCGULLICUDDY (Pete Mack)

 

 

 

Pete Mack, a midfielder, was one of the many background HUFC players who witnessed the club's most dramatic events, he more than most notching up four years with the Dragons from Seasons 4-7. He was there for the club's first Champions League campaign, survived the first coach crash, amongst those taken hostage on the final day of the season by goalkeeper Jamie Parker, and saw the club liquidated before joining the team in the fight to get HUFC reopened. He also saw an amazing three squad number changes during his time, going from #7 to #9 to finally #27!

 

As a player, Peter had schoolboy stints at Wimbledon and YTS at Arsenal before non-league at Leyton Wingate, Eton Manor & Ilford. He then coached in Israel, Spain and USA. His other credits include "Mike Bassett England manager", "Goal", "Green Street", "Days That Shook The World"
