Exclusive Interview: Chris Brazier

Whats the best thing about being on Dream team?  The team spirt! Everyone from production to cast and crew work so hard together to make the show. There is such a tight family unit on set.

Were you a fan of Dream team before you joined?  I watched the show religiously before moving to London four years ago to become a student. I lost touch with the show as I didn't have Sky when I was at college.

Did you do any research for your role?  Watching hundreds of hours of sports programmes and football matches, paying particular attention to pre and post match interviews. Reading gossip mags and tabloids for the first time in my life to check up on the stories about footballers.

What do you like best about your character?  Defiantly his single minded passion and drive both on and off the pitch.

What do you dislike about your character?  His disrespect for the women he seduces.

Are you like your character at all?  I can relate to Tommy's passion and determination and love of his job. I do wish I had as much success with the ladies as he does!

How did you get the role and what was your audition like?  I first auditioned in Manchester then forgot about it as it took a few months before I knew I had been recalled for an audition in London.

What scene have you liked or hated fliming so far?  The fight scene in episode 2 was so much fun!

Do you think you'd like your characters lifestyle?  Without a doubt. It must be great fun to be a millionaire playboy footballer.

Have you ever met any real footballers?  Yes, I've met a few.

What football team do you support and why?  I don't really follow any one team but I do love the sport.

Were you any good at football at school?  I was always last to be picked at school due to my lack of skill with the ball and my harsh tackling.

What is the hardest part of training you do for Dream Team?  Filming episode 4 (Boot Camp) was particularly gruelling.

What do you do in your free time?  I'm a bit of a party animal. SO lots of socialising.

Where do you come from - home town?  Nottingham.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?  Still in London. Hopefully still acting either on screen or the stage.

What other jobs have you done appart from acting?  I'm a qualified sports therapist and masseur. I have been a waiter, barman, restraint supervisor, a window cleaner and a model.

If you could appear in a reality TV show, which would it be?  Reality TV really isn't my thing!

If you were to appear on the front page of The Sun this weekend what would the headline be?  DRUNK AGAIN!?!

Do you get recognised in the street?  The longer the show goes on, the more it happens.

What will you be doing on Christmas day?  Wake up with a hangover. Open my prezzies. Stuff myself stupid and get right back on it!
