Exclusive Interview: Lucinda Rhodes Flaherty

How has working on Dream Team compared to your previous acting roles?  Dream Team is the first adult drama I've done so it's very different to the children's shows I've done in the past. For example, on the first day of shooting I was doing a scene with Dean Boyle and I was holding a glass of wine which to me was so exciting as in the other shows I've done it's been like, "no smoking, no drinking, no sexual innuendos" which made all the actors want to rebel. It's also given me a chance to grow as an actor with some challenging story lines and of course given me a chance to work with some great actors.

Who is the best actor you've ever worked with?  I love playing with Colin Parry who plays my husband Frank Stone and I also love working with Jon Morrison who plays Don Barker, so I'm pretty lucky there. Another one is Daniel Peacock who is an actor I've worked with on previous shows.

Do you have any funny stories about filming?  Well, apart from having to do a lap dance for Tommy Valentine on my second day of shooting (which was cut anyway), no! Most of my stuff is pretty serious although Jon Morrison tends to make me laugh a lot.

What is your favourite book/film/T.V. show?  Love a Jackie Collins book when I'm on holiday: always a great one for the girls; sex and glamour. But for something serious, gotta be an autobiography. Favourite film is Something's Gotta Give or anything with Vin Diesel in it!! Love Big Brother!

Who would play you in a film about your life?  This is a hard one. Erm, I love Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts, but I'm gonna go with Helena Bonham-Carter because she's brilliant.

Don Barker or Frank Stone?  Hey, you can't do that to me: it ain't fair!

What do you like in a guy?  Someone who makes me laugh.

Do you have any nick-names that are clean enough to share?  All the guys call me "busy" but you can ask Ricky why!

What about your fellow cast members?  The Legend that is The Ans (Andy Ansah), that's about it really.

What was the first and last album you bought?  The first was probably a Now! Compilation and the last was Maroon 5 (How fit is he?!).

What is your top 5 favourite songs?  Ok, don't judge! Maroon 5 - This Love, Darius - Colour Blind, KC & Jo Jo - Tell Me It's Real, Craig David and Robbie Craig - Woman Trouble, Eminem - Business.

Would you prefer fame or fortune?  Oh, definitely fortune!! Then if you really wanted the fame you could go to all the parties like the "It" girls.

What are your likes and dislikes regarding Jodie?  She's far to into her image but she's dedicated and ambitious which I admire.

Were you a fan of Dream Team prior to joining the show?   No! Never had Sky but love it now.

Do you have any behind the scenes gossip that you would like to share?  Loads... but I couldn't possibly divulge!

If you could play any other character who would it be and why?  I'm very happy playing Jodie but wouldn't mind being the first female manager at Harchester!!

If you could create one storyline what would it be?  To have Vin Diesel in Dream Team and have him have an affair with Jodie Stone!!!

Which former cast members do you miss the most?  Nina Muschalik is a good friend so it's a shame she's not still on the show.

What other jobs have you done besides acting?  I used to be a Cheerleader for West Ham Football Club and I've danced in several pop videos.

Describe your perfect day from waking up in the morning to going to bed at night.  A good lie in, followed by the best cup of tea made by my mum, shopping and girly lunch, and an evening with Vin Diesel.

What do you most like doing in your spare time?  Going to the cinema.

What is your star sign?  Virgo.
