Team Players>> Tommy Moore (Matt Mansfield)

Goalkeeper (#33) (2003-04)

Youth team goalkeeper who is called up to the first team keeper's position for the relegation-deciding last match of the season, a replay versus Everton following regular goalkeeper Jamie Parker's siege and subsequent death at the previously held game. Although the biggest moment before his professional career has even started, Tommy is given a major confidence boost when Tash presents him with Jamie's lucky gloves before he goes out for the second half. Everton are awarded a penalty to be taken by Wayne Rooney, and Tommy's miraculous save keeps the score one-up, securing the Dragon's stay in the Premiership.

Tommy is rewarded for his duties with promotion as the first team goalie for the 2003-04 season, and while starting well, is later heard to be struggling for fitness whilst second choice keeper Alex Lawler takes over. Knowing they are on a push to make the Champions League, Stuart knows they need an older, experienced keeper in the role, and after securing his former Nottingham Forest team mate Viv Wright, Harchester release Tommy in the January transfer window.
